Sylvan Learning in Augusta is celebrating its 30th anniversary serving the community. The Augusta Chronicle spoke with franchisee Misty Gleason and visited the Augusta location to hear how the industry has changed over three decades.
The article discusses how different the landscape was in supplemental education 30 years ago, and how Sylvan Learning has grown in that time.
Said Gleason to the Chronicle, “We bought this franchise and started from ground zero. It took a long time for people to get to know who we were. It took us probably five years to get up to 70 students.”
The piece also details the services offered by Sylvan Learning, including pricing information.
Said Gleason, “Not all kids learn at the same time the same way. That’s where we fit in.”
